REMINDER: Vote “Yes” for Connect NC Bond
The March 15 Primary Ballot will feature the Connect NC Bond, a $2 billion package that will provide funds for education, agriculture, recreation, public safety, and water and sewer. Connect NC received bipartisan support in both the North Carolina Senate and House of Representatives. The bond language allows the state to pay for 50-year assets with 20-year financing and does not require any tax increases for residents.
The Chamber supports the Connect NC bond and urges our members to learn more and vote “yes” on March 15.

Important 2016 Primary Election Information
North Carolina’s U.S. Congressional districts are currently in the midst of a federal suit which required General Assembly leaders to redraw district maps. On Friday, Feb. 19, the redrawn maps were submitted to a three-judge panel for approval. With approval of the maps pending, legislators voted to create a second primary date for U.S. Congressional Primary Elections only. These primaries will be held June 7. The March 15 primary will still be held for all other races.
Chamber staff is monitoring this issue closely, and this page will be updated in real-time to reflect the most up-to-date information as it develops.
