The mission of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce is to sustain and further develop a thriving economy and to enhance our community's quality of life. Our action plan outlines the ways in which our individual departments carry out our mission.
Education is a vital part of our community. Our K-12 schools are ranked among the best in the nation. Raleigh’s seven colleges and universities provide access to exceptional education and research opportunities—not to mention top-notch collegiate athletic programs.
We offer phenomenal opportunities for sports enthusiasts, whether you follow youth, collegiate, or professional sports. You’ll find plenty of action in our parks, on the gridiron or hardwood, or in our ice rinks. Did we mention that Raleigh is home to one of the state’s three major-league franchises—the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, the 2006 Stanley Cup champions?
Our capital city is rich in history, culture, recreation, arts, and entertainment. We’re home to the North Carolina Symphony, the Carolina Ballet, the North Carolina Theatre, outdoor amphitheatres, and much more. Our acclaimed museums include Marbles Kids Museum, the North Carolina Museum of Art, the North Carolina Museum of History, and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.
